Mission
We serve the Almaguin Highlands region to support the representation, de-stigmatization and growth of community between LGBTQ+ individuals and the wider local populace. We promote and celebrate LGBTQ+ identity through events, projects and campaigns.
Vision
The Almaguin Pride Network desires the de-stigmatization of LGBTQ+ identities in Almaguin Highlands and envisions a community where we can be respected and celebrated.

The Almaguin Pride Network is completely volunteer led. The team is co-led by Claire Burns and Val Sheekey. Claire has worked as a producer of live events for the past ten years. She is a committed LGBTQ+ Community member who loves meeting new people and creating safe spaces for queer folks. Val is a retired Special-Ed teacher who has been volunteering in the area ever since her retirement 22 years ago.
